After working together for 12 years, we established Highland Partnership, Inc. in 1993, immediately after successfully completing another landmark mixed-use, high rise project in downtown San Diego. Having spent our early careers together with a very large national construction company we wanted to create a locally owned and operated construction firm that understands and responds to client needs. The “partnership” in our company name signifies our strong commitment to provide the best support to our clients.

As a closely held company, we make decisions promptly and locally rather than having to go through layers of remote upper management. We approach each project in partnership with our clients and work hard to help build the most cost effective and sustainable buildings in the shortest amount of time.

Our hands on approach to project planning, design and construction with principal involvement in every project provides a great benefit to our clients. We have earned an excellent reputation for being a proactive and creative partner on many landmark projects.

There is no substitute for experience, and we have built the core of the Highland Team from experienced professionals we have worked with for over 30 years constructing complex facilities throughout Southern California. The long term personal commitment we share with each other is the same commitment we bring to each project. Our clients deserve the best people and our best effort on each project. Highland utilizes state of the art project management and accounting systems that help our project teams share real time data with our clients, design firms and consultants so everyone stays current with the day to day project details.

In addition to the positive relationships developed with our clients we also enjoy many successful relationships with design firms, consultants, trade contractors and material suppliers locally, nationally and as far away as China. These relationships help us stretch the construction dollar through pragmatic design solutions, multiple competitive and negotiated bids and resourceful procurements.
